I'm sure there's a pattern, but I haven't been able to figure one out for where the game drops people upon spawn. I always get some turd spawning behind me when I try to cap flags. And knowing that my team won only because I absolutely dominated in my tank is a good feeling I usually don't care too much, because as an epic tank whore, they make it that much easier to get 30+ kills in a round while the rest of my team stays in single digits. Not everyone is interested in winning unfortunately, so let them have their retarded, game-ignoring fun. If I've got too many "leet sniperz" on my team playing grab ass on nearby hills while our ticket count bleeds out, I'll just leave. Yeah, as kind of a general rule, griefing isn't very cool. If he had been up on the front lines providing cover fire while I defended the flag, even if he whiffed every shot I would have been happy to see him trying. Hiding out in spots with no one to shoot is not learning to play sniper, it's being a wasted server slot. I watched this guy do absolutely nothing to help his team for at least half an hour. Just deal with it and try to win, or like I said, quit the game and jump in another. The only way that guy is going to get better is to play as a sniper. You don't have to set the timer to blow up the crate, the specialist class can ninja them with their c4 and a grenade or two, or the APCs with the cannons do an amazing job of blowing them up and keeping the pressure on their baseĪs someone who just the other day STARTED to learn sniper: I think you should quit the game. I might just end up playing this more than 1943 since it's ranking system isn't solely for match-making purposes and actually gives you some rewards along the way. I only played 4-5 rounds and they were all generally full, much like 1943 is now. Truly it's the perfect game to switch off with, almost exactly the same controls, radar system/minimap icons, but with an updated setting and more classes. I'd be tempted to say it's just like 1943 but really it's the other way around. Even the singleplayer isn't horrible, but the multiplayer is really where it's at. Really fun, I feel dumb for brushing it off when it came out due to my perception of it as a dumbed down Battlefield 2. I found BC for $20 at Fry's, played a little single player and dabbled in the multi last night. Hoping for more players on the map for BC2 Probably pretty cheap now too.ĭunno about currently, but when I played it a few months ago I got into plenty of decent games.īC is still better than 1943. How is Bad Company's online scene nowadays? Never played it, but 1943 has me psyched for BC2 and I dunno if these three maps can hold me till then. All that results in is my tank embarassingly farting out a giant plume of smoke obscuring the little bastards with C4 and getting my ass 'sploded. I inform him he's a terrible sniper and should quit the game, then block communications.īlaying Bad Company after playing 1943 and trying to use the tanks machine gun. Which is where his score was 10 minutes later when the match ends.Ī few minutes later the angry XBL messages start coming through, demanding to know what my problem is.

This causes him to fall off the tower and die, putting his score at -10. As I motor off to resume playing the game, I notice him hiding behind a tiny piece of fence still guarding him, and shoot it.

After about 5 rounds there's no cover left and moron is still sitting up there like his name tag has Thomas Beckett printed on it. Hop in the tank that spawns, and proceed to blow the tower to hell. I fight my way to the airfield and capture it, and notice one of them in the tower doing absolutely nothing. This brings us back to the useless snipers in my squad. Dude runs off into the sunset never to be seen again (and blowing up every vehicle along the way so I can't use any). This pisses me off far more than it should and I react, shall we say, with immaturity. As I cross the bridge, some jackass turns around, realize I'll get to the flag before him, and blows the bridge up, sending me into the water. I motor my way onto the beach and get in the jeep to head for the first flag.

Next round is Wake Island, get stuck with the same retards plus some new ones. I ignore them for the most part, the rest of my team was decent and we won decisively. Hop in for a few games, get dropped in a squad with a couple dumbasses with 0 points hiding out in remote parts of the map pretending they're snipers.
